Fox Point architecture subject of summer stroll

This Saturday, Rhode Island Historical Society’s “SummerWalks” program visits Providence’s Fox Point neighborhood.

Take a walk. See the sights. Learn something along the way.
On Saturday at 11 a.m., the Rhode Island Historical Society’s “SummerWalks” program visits Providence’s Fox Point neighborhood. The stroll will explore the area’s architectural heritage, which includes examples of Colonial, Federal and Victorian houses, as well as more contemporary residential and commercial buildings. RIHS guides will also discuss how the area has changed through the years, and how it has been home to many ethnic groups, including Irish, Portuguese and Cape Verdeans.
