Sun and fun, by bus
05/22/2008 01:00 AM EDT
Begin your beach experience aboard a bus. RIPTA is once again offering beach bus service, June 28 through Aug. 11.
With gas around $4 a gallon, the RIPTA rate looks good: $1.75 each way. And you don’t have to pay for parking or deal with traffic.
The service is offered from Pawtucket, North Providence, Central Falls, Cranston and Woonsocket. And the buses go to Salty Brine Beach in Galilee, Roger Wheeler State Beach and Scarborough State Beach, both in Narragansett.
For more information, call (401) 781-9400 or visit www.ripta.com.
