Aquidneck Island Arts Festival this weekend in Newport

Singer/songwriter Mary Day will perform at the Aquidneck Island Arts Festival Saturday and Sunday in Newport.

The Aquidneck Island Arts Festival will be held Saturday from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the Newport Yachting Center, America’s Cup Avenue at Commercial Wharf.
Included will be artists in wearable art, pottery, woodworking, painting, photography and glasswork. There will also be live entertainment and activities for children, a food café and two full days of live music — Celtic, flamenco, folk, Caribbean-style, classical and jazz — with performers including Mac Chrupcala, Juanito Pascual (flamenco), The Boston String Quartet and Mary Day.
