08/15/2008 01:00 AM EDT
The Washington County Fair has a queen and princess, named to those posts Wednesday night.
The queen, chosen from girls aged 16 to 19, is Kaitlyn DeFeo of Exeter. The princess, chosen from girls aged 12 to 15, is Mary-Catherine Stockman, also of Exeter.
Contestants were judged on poise, personality, grooming, speaking ability and contest application. The winners have agreed to attend the fair at least five hours each day through Sunday’s closing.
