Enjoy Save the Bay’s Family Bay Days
05/18/2008 01:00 AM EDT
Want to take the kids out on the Bay? Try Save the Bay’s Family Bay Days, which begin next Saturday (May 24). Cruises leave from the Save the Bay Center in Providence at 10 a.m. and at noon. You’ll head out on the educational vessel M/V Swift to collect local species from the water and enjoy some fabulous views. Educators on board will talk about the marine creatures you find and on the importance of the Bay.
Additional dates are June 7, Aug. 2, Aug. 16 and Sept. 13. Tickets are $20. If you join Save the Bay, it’s $15 for adult members; $10 for ages 3-12. For reservations, call Rupa at (401) 272-3540 x 133 or rdatta@savebay.org.
Save the Bay offers several summer camps, too, including one called Girls in Science Camp, for middle school girls. Check them out at www.savebay.org.
