Odor no more
Lose that unsweet smell of excess
What happens in the bathroom should stay in the bathroom. And if it weren’t for embarrassing odors, it probably would.
Poo-Pourri, a formula made of natural essential oils, can help neutralize lingering odors. Spraying the formula four to six times onto the surface water before using the toilet creates a film on the water that traps the odor. Flushing releases the formula into the air, leaving a fresh aroma behind.
The product line includes: Original Poo-Pourri, a citrus-fresh blend of lemongrass, bergamot, grapefruit and other natural essential oils; Royal Flush by Poo-Pourri, a fresh essence of eucalyptus that works in synergy with spearmint (comes with a little black book of washroom etiquette); No.2 by Poo-Pourri, a sweet bouquet of mandarin, bergamot and orange enhanced by hints of peach and berries; a gift set and other accessories.
Cost starts at $9.95 per 2-ounce bottle.

New Guinea impatiens need sun
Q. I’m perplexed as to how to encourage my New Guinea impatiens to bloom again; It’s in a bright spot with some afternoon diffused sun. Aside from being the thirstiest plant I’ve ever had, I’m unimpressed so far. I’ve used liquid fertilizer to no avail.
A. That is not enough direct sunshine to get good blooms from New Guinea impatiens. Unlike the typical bedding impatiens, New Guineas require at least four hours of sunshine. Also, do not let them dry out between watering, as this could cause deterioration of any small buds just developing. Don’t go overboard on fertilizer, every two weeks is probably sufficient.
