Philbin is back to help celebrate the 10th anniversary of Who Wants to Be A Millionaire. The show returns to ABC this summer for a special two-week run, premiering Sunday, Aug. 9, at 8 p.m., and airing for 11 nights.
Regis Philbin returns to prime-time television in August to celebrate the 10th anniversary of ABC’s Who Wants to Be A Millionaire. You can be there too.
But first, you’ve got to get on that phone. The original phone game, used to select contestants when the game show debuted, is back for 10 days beginning Monday, July 6, at 7 p.m. and running until 3 a.m. July 16.
The telephone number is (800) 999-7878.
There are two other ways to qualify as a contestant. Visit abc.com keyword Millionaire for info on both video submissions and a computer game for those with a physical disability that prevents them from using a telephone for the phone game.
Auditions were held earlier in selected cities around the U.S.
The show will be on four nights a week from Aug. 9-23 on ABC (Ch. 5, 6).
