05/18/2008 01:00 AM EDT

Free art today
Enjoy art. Today’s International Museum Day. In celebration of that, the Newport Art Museum offers free admission, noon to 4 p.m. The museum, at 78 Bellevue Ave., is art itself: a National Historic Site, an 1862 stick style building designed by celebrated architect Richard Morris Hunt. At the museum now is the exhibit “To the sea,” paintings by Michael Rich. For more information, call (401) 848-8200 or visit www.newportartmuseum.org.
