Summer sounds
Strike up the band. Tonight at 6:30, the Wakefield Civic Band, under the direction of Barry Liebermann, opens up South Kingstown’s Summer Concert Series, which features nearly two dozen free concerts, although donations are appreciated. The concerts are in Marina Park on Salt Pond Road; in the event of rain, they’ll be in the Neighborhood Guild, 325 Columbia St., Wakefield. For more information, call (401) 789-9301.
