Bright ideas, anyone? PBS is casting Edisons

Ingenious ideas for inventions wanted. Everyday Edisons, the Emmy Award-winning show on PBS, is conducting a casting call today in Providence. About 2,000 people are expected to present proposals for inventions at the Rhode Island Convention Center, 1 Sabin St. The doors open at 7 a.m.
Providence is the fifth and final stop in a nationwide casting call for the show’s third season. From a total of about 10,000 proposed invention submissions, the show will select 12. Working with designers, engineers and officials from the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office, the show will guide the inventors through the process of turning their inventions into products for the marketplace.
