More fireworks planned
07/06/2009 01:00 AM EDT
Catch more fireworks Monday. You have two choices: Smithfield or Westerly.
•In Smithfield, the celebration will begin at 7 p.m. at Deerfield Park. The Paul Borrelli Band will play. Fireworks will follow at 9 p.m.
The event was originally scheduled for July 2, but was rained out.
•In Westerly, the celebration will begin at 6 p.m. at the Town Beach, 365 Atlantic Ave., with the first performance of the town-sponsored Monday Night Jamz concert series. This week’s event features local favorite RI Storm, whose members have reunited for this event. At 9 p.m., the Misquamicut Business Association will present a fireworks display at the New Town Beach, 311 Atlantic Ave.
