Christian Slater’s double-life-leading character in My Own Worst Enemy is getting a new, better half.

Former Twin Peaks star Madchen Amick has joined the NBC series, where she’ll play Slater’s wife, according to The Hollywood Reporter. She takes over for Yara Martinez, who was initially cast in the role.

The show recently finished filming its first episode; it’s unclear whether any reshoot- ing will be necessary to account for the recasting. Also unclear is Amick’s status on The CW’s Gossip Girl; earlier in the summer she signed on to a guest role as a woman who strikes up an affair with the much younger Nate (Chace Crawford).
