BRISTOL
JULY 3
Concerts. Independence Park, Bristol. Bristol County Interfaith Choir, 6:30 to 7:30 pm; the Navy Band Northeast, 7:45 to 9:30 pm.
Fireworks. Bristol Harbor, 9:40 pm.
JULY 4
Fourth of July Parade (223rd annual). Hope and High streets, 10:30 am.
Linden Place Annual 4th of July Picnic. Linden Place Mansion, front lawn, 500 Hope St. For information, call (401) 253-0390. A continental breakfast and picnic lunch will be held from 8 am to 2 pm. The cost is $50, $35 for children.
ATTLEBORO
JULY 4
Fireworks. Hayward Field, North Avenue, Attleboro, 9 pm.
BLOCK ISLAND
JULY 4
Parade. Legion Park, Block Island at 11 am. A band concert follows at Nicholas Ball Park in Old Harbor and the Fire Department annual steak fry at 12:30 pm. Admission, $20.
JULY 5
Concert. Fred Benson Town Beach Pavilion, Corn Neck Road, Block Island. Booze Beggers at 7:30 pm, fireworks at 9 pm.
CHEPACHET
JULY 4
Ancients and Horribles Parade. Parade steps off at 4 pm from Routes 100 and 98, and travels along Putnam Pike (Route 44), Chepachet. For more information, call (401) 568-6206. Road race on the grounds of Chepachet Union Church. Registration begins at 8 am.

JULY 3

CUMBERLAND
JULY 3
Fireworks. Tucker Field, Mendon Road, Cumberland. About 9 pm. Parking limited to Tucker Field parking area and the parking lot behind Cumberland High School. Rain date, July 5.
JULY 4
Parade and Concert. Arnold Mills, Cumberland. Road race begins at 9 am from the North Cumberland Fire Station. Parade at 11 am on Nate Whipple Highway, near the North Attleboro town line. Concert on the Green at 1 p.m. in front of Arnold Mills United Methodist Church.
EAST PROVIDENCE
JULY 3
Concert and Fireworks, Pierce Field. Gates open at 6:30 pm for the concert and food concessions. Fireworks at 9 pm. Free admission. No cooler or pets. Rain date July 5.
FALL RIVER
JULY 4
Concert in the Park Series. Heritage State Park, Davol Street, Fall River. Down and Dirty, 4 to 6 pm; King’s Row, 6 to 8:30 pm; BMC Durfee High School Stage Band with patriotic music; fireworks at 9:30 pm.
NEWPORT
JULY 4
Fireworks, shot over Newport Harbor at dusk. Rain date, July 5.
Fourth of July Ceremonies. Rhode Island Society, Sons of the Revolution, with wreath-laying ceremony at the gravesite of William Ellery in the Common Burial Ground, Newport, followed by a parade to Eisenhower Park in Washington Square for patriotic music by the Salve Regina University Community Concert Orchestra. Retired Navy Cmdr. Walter Whitley will read the Declaration of Independence. A 21-gun salute by the Artillery Company of Newport Paul Revere cannons follows the music program. JULY 6
Celebrate America. Naval Station, Dewey Field, Newport. Concert and fireworks. Soul Power, rhythm & blues at 5 pm; Navy Band Northeast, patriotic marches and light concert pieces at 7 pm; salute to veterans; 25-minute fireworks display at 8:45 pm. The event is free; bring lawn chairs and blankets for seating. The public may enter through Gate One, the main entrance near the Officers’ Club, beginning at 4 pm. Music, concession and games for children begin at 5 pm. No coolers, backpacks, glass bottles or pets will be allowed.

JULY 4
Lafayette Band Concert. North Kingstown Town Beach, band shell, 7 pm, followed by fireworks.
