This is truly a time to whistle as you work. The Leo moon pushes for a playful approach to all that has to be done. Mercury forms a stressful angle to Jupiter, reminding us that words have awesome power and are not to be wielded carelessly. Choose your words carefully, and consider that no words at all can be a very good choice indeed.
ARIES (March 21-April 19). You probably forgot last night's dreams, but there are other ways to access your subconscious. Pay attention to any slip of the tongue you might make, and note the unusual things you see in clouds, ceilings and the like.
TAURUS (April 20-May 20). You, of all people, know the value in setting your mind to something. You absolutely will do what you believe you will do. It's that simple. So set your mind early in the day.
GEMINI (May 21-June 21). You feel as though you are being contacted by someone you can't see. Perhaps a loved one is thinking about you, or you are being nudged to act by a spiritual guide, angel or deity.
CANCER (June 22-July 22). While others around you complain about their duties, you will whistle while you work -- or at least hum a happy tune. You are filled with purpose, and you revel in the pride of ownership.
LEO (July 23-Aug. 22). When two seemingly random events occur in a short time span, it's a sign that they are somehow connected. This means something. If you can understand their connection, you can understand everything.
VIRGO (Aug. 23-Sept. 22). Do you know who your influences are? You may not even realize all that you have been taught by the people who are around you. That's why it's important to choose your role models carefully.
LIBRA (Sept. 23-Oct. 23). You have projected your wishes onto someone -- a natural human response. You wanted someone to be a certain way, and so you saw him or her that way. Now you will wake up to this person's true identity.
SCORPIO (Oct. 24-Nov. 21). It's always good to have a plan before you take action, but sometimes you have to put the pen and paper down, roll up your sleeves and dive in. This is one of those times.
SAGITTARIUS (Nov. 22-Dec. 21). The steady hum of traffic outside your window is an apt complement to the steady buzzing of brain traffic inside your head. Both your mind and the outside world are going to a lot of places at once.
CAPRICORN (Dec. 22-Jan. 19). You have such sweet moves and great lines today that it's a shame someone is not making a movie of your life. Perhaps you will be caught on film, though, and that will be a lucky piece of celluloid indeed.
AQUARIUS (Jan. 20-Feb. 18). Just when you thought life was getting predictable, you'll be distracted in the most fortuitous way. This will cause you to perceive a few key details you would usually weed out. What's going on is deeper than you once thought.
PISCES (Feb. 19-March 20). You are emotionally open, so it's important that you stick with people you can trust. All of your senses are finely tuned to receive subtle messages now, including your sixth sense.
TODAY'S BIRTHDAY (Nov. 8). In the next 10 weeks, you'll impress a powerful person who will in turn champion one of your projects. In December, you stand to gain a reasonable sum of money. Be a team player. Wonderful emotional connections are made in February. You'll be asked to shoulder an unusual responsibility in March. Sagittarius and Aquarius people adore you. Your lucky numbers are: 14, 3, 39, 20 and 15.
FORECAST FOR THE WEEK AHEAD : Remember those X-ray glasses that were advertised in the back of funny magazines? The copy promised that wearing the funny spectacles would enable one to see what is being covered up -- the skin under clothing, the bones under skin, the inside workings of life. During this week under the Scorpio sun, it will seem to some that they have purchased such X-ray lenses and are wearing them with great results. Scorpio energy makes us aware of the essence of things, their nature, and how and why they work like they do. Last week Venus entered the realm of Scorpio, too, and this week the results of that transit will begin to take hold, adding layers of soulful intrigue to our relationships and projects. Meanwhile, Mercury stirs up trouble for us, forming terse angles to Jupiter and then Neptune. Since everyone is reading deeply into things, it's of utmost importance that we communicate from pure intentions. Words will have a powerful impact. Flippant criticism could stop someone from creating or following a dream. We all want to have the right thing to say, but the wisest person will realize that if you're not sure of your words, the best thing to say may be nothing at all.
