New products to baby clients; organic, healing scrubs
01:00 AM EDT on Sunday, October 1, 2006
New owners have taken over BAMBINI INFANT INTERIORS in Providence, which offers products and services ranging from baby booties to full nursery design and decor, and are having an open house at the store, 215 S. Main St., Saturday and next Sunday. Maria Disimone and Michelle Miceli have remodeled the store and added new lines such as shoes (through toddler sizes), a lot more clothing, and difficult-to-find brands such as Bugaboo strollers. They are the only purveyor in the region of high-end Lulla Smith bedding and of several furniture lines.
The Bambini owners have joined with several other baby-related companies to form RIBBON, the Rhode Island Baby Business Owner Network. The members meet monthly to discuss business issues, seek professional advice and share referrals. They’ve planned a “Moms’ Night Out” on Oct. 19 during which the clients of one business, the exercise group Stroller Strides run by Lauren Weinsier, will be treated to wine and cheese at the storefront of Bambini and enjoy brief seminars from owners of other businesses such as professional organizer Candita Clayton’s Your Life Organized, doula services provider Debra Jonfelix’s DouBaby birth services, and Kathleen Moren’s Healthy Babies, Healthy Moms, which helps women with breastfeeding goals and parenting abilities.
For more information about RIBBON, call Clayton at (401) 742-6125 or e-mail candita@yourlifeorganized.com.
Beauty and the Bath in Wickford is now carrying NEW ENGLAND BY THE SEA, a line of products developed by Wendy Storm of East Greenwich. The organic hand, foot and body scrubs, which exfoliate and moisturize, provide aromatherapy and healing. The store at 11 Main St. will offer free hand treatments from 5 to 7 p.m. during this week’s First Friday. On the first Friday of each month, Wickford’s retailers stay open in the evening. See www.beautyandthebath.com or call (401) 294-3576.
