YESTERDAY'S TOP GAME
Mount St. Charles clinched the Division I-North girls tennis regular-season championship with a 4-3 win over La Salle. The match was suspended last Thursday with the scored knotted at 2-2.
Taylor McEldowney clinched the deciding point at third singles, outlasting Liz O'Connell, 6-4, 6-7 (5-7), 7-6 (7-1).
BEST OF THE REST
-Juan Carlos Lopera, Milton Ricaurte and Marlon Giraldo each scored a goal as Central Falls clinched the Division I-North boys soccer regular-season title with a 3-0 victory over Mount St. Charles .
-Tolman won the battle for first place in Division II-North boys soccer with a 3-1 victory over rival Shea. Both teams entered the game with 27 points.
Bruno Costa led the Tigers with two goals while teammate Wilder Arboleda had a goal and an assist.
-Skyler Connor's 6-3, 3-6, 6-2 win at fourth singles clinched the deciding point in Classical's 4-3 win over Lincoln, which also gave the Purple the Division II-North girls tennis regular-season title. Classical, now 12-1, will be the No. 1 seed in the Division II playoffs.
-Nate Patterson had a hat trick and Narragansett clinched a Division II boys soccer playoff berth with a 3-0 shutout over East Greenwich.
YESTERDAY'S STARS
-Zach Springett notched the game-winning goal with 10 minutes to play as Middletown improved to 10-3-3 with a 2-1 victory over Westerly in Division II boys soccer.
-Kyla Perdomo's four-goal effort led Tolman to a 7-0 win over Davies in girls soccer.
-Tricia Clark had three goals and an assist while Marielle Brownell added two goals and two assists as Rogers took over first place in Division IV girls soccer by defeating Bishop Keough , 8-0.
-Tolman won a five-set thriller over Johnston in Division II girls volleyball behind Benilde Vaz's 17 aces, 8 kills and 6 digs. Michele Fontes added 12 kills.
-Ariana Purro scored 10 minutes into the game and Allegra Purro had 14 saves, helping Classical to a 1-0 win over Narragansett in Division III girls soccer.
-Kate Haworth and Sarah Cohen won, 7-6 (7-4), 6-3, giving Barrington a 4-3 win over Wheeler in a Division I girls tennis match suspended from last Thursday.
-Oscar Zorilla provided all the offense for Classical, collecting a hat trick in the Purple's 3-1 win over Scituate in Division II boys soccer.
-North Providence rolled to a 3-0 win over Smithfield in Division II boys soccer behind a hat trick by Armando Gomes.
-Angelica Beaumier scored four goals to lead the Johnston girls soccer team to an 8-1 win over Woonsocket in Division III.
-Annika Gliottone finished with 26 assists, 15 aces, 8 digs and 7 kills as Toll Gate outlasted Chariho, 3-2, in girls volleyball.
-Brittany Whiteside recorded 12 aces and 10 kills to lead the Warwick Vets girls volleyball team over Mount St. Charles, 3-0.
-Christine Karolyshyn scored both her goals in the first half and Cumberland hung on for a 2-1 win over Woonsocket in Division I field hockey.

La Salle and Hope, tied for the Division I-Central boys soccer lead with 34 points, meet at 4 p.m. on the Blue Wave's home field.
