Making her third-straight appearance on the All-State first team, Ruggieri concludes her high school field hockey career as the best player in the state. Helping Barrington outscore its opponents, 68-4, the senior midfielder and co-captain led the league in goals (24), assists (18) and points (66). After scoring in triple overtime to guide the undefeated Eagles past North Kingstown in the semifinals, Ruggieri then helped Barrington defend its Division I crown, by contributing two goals and an assist in a 5-0 victory over Tiverton, earning tournament MVP honors. In addition, Ruggieri has participated in USA Field Hockey's Futures Program for each of the past two summers and last summer was selected into the Futures Elite, which identifies her as one of the top high school players in the country.
