Choiniere was known throughout the state for her flip-throws. The talented midfielder scored three goals in the semifinals against North Kingstown. The one and only goal to defeat the five-time consecutive state champion, La Salle, in the finals came off her flip-throw, helping Scituate win its first Division I state title in school history. She played both forward and midfield for the Spartans, depending on where they needed her, and she excelled at both positions. She finished the season with 14 goals and a league leading 18 assists. She scored five goals and had five assists in the playoffs.
