Despite being seeded 20th in the field for the 1,000-meter run at the New England Interscholastic Indoor Track Championships over the weekend, Nick Ross, the East Greenwich senior star, won the race with a time of 2:29.4 at Boston's Reggie Lewis Track and Athletic Facility.
