Flu Update
01:00 AM EST on Wednesday, December 2, 2009
Today, Wednesday, is the last day to register for the H1N1 vaccination clinic for school-age Rhode Islanders who attend school out of state. Registration is required and can be done online at www.health.ri.gov. Clinic enrollment will close at 4 p.m. on Dec. 2.
The clinic will be held Saturday, Dec. 12, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Cannon Building, the Health Department’s headquarters in Providence. The Cannon Building is located at Three Capitol Hill, just north of the Rhode Island State House. Ample, free on-site parking is available.
Children who have not registered will be turned away. Children must also bring signed and dated consent forms to the clinic. These forms can be downloaded from the Web site. They are available in Spanish, Portuguese and English ( www.health.ri.gov/flu/about/schoolh1n1clinics).
Children who missed clinics at their Rhode Island schools, out-of-state residents, preschool students and college students will not be vaccinated at this clinic.
