The African Health Summit for African Community Health will hold free health screenings and provide information regarding healthy behaviors, disease prevention, navigating the health-care system with or without insurance, and education on prevention and detection for cancer. The event, presented by the African Alliance, comprised of the African Alliance of Rhode Island, the American Cancer Society and the Rhode Island Department of Health, Minority Health Program, will be held Saturday, May 31, at The Met School, 325 Public St., Providence, from 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. To register, call (401) 222-2901.
