Two Barrington golfers to represent R.I. in Okla. tourney

Two of the stars of Barrington High’s state championship golf team will represent Rhode Island in the Big I Trusted Choice national golf championship.
Jeff Ray led the field at Potowomut with rounds of 70 Monday and 73 Tuesday for 143. His Eagles teammate Jared Adams tied for the second and final available spot with Josh Padwa (Moses Brown) after both finished at 148. Adams won the spot with a par on the second playoff hole. Adams and Padwa had the lowest scores Tuesday, a 72 and 71, respectively. The national championship will be held July 25-28 in Ardmore, Okla.
Other top finishers were Andrew Fiorenzano (Wheeler) 75-74-149; Owen Lynch (Bishop Feehan) 77-73-150; Jamison Randall (Cumberland) 77-75-152; Tyler Cooke (Toll Gate) 73-80-153 and John McCarthy (East Greenwich) 76-78-154.
Will Dickson won the 14-and-under division with rounds of 86-76_162, six shots ahead of Owen Heath who had 88-80- 168. Katie Rockwell and Gina Bartolotta tied for the girls’ division title at 192. Rockwell had 93-99, Bartolotta 97-95.
