Assembly working a weekend

PROVIDENCE — Lawmakers at the General Assembly decided last night to return today rather than work into the wee hours to end the session.
House members will return today at 10 a.m. to vote on remaining legislation, and the Senate will start at 10:30 a.m. The morning session is expected to last about two hours.
Lawmakers, up for reelection in the fall, have been wading through a tidal wave of last-minute bills in the closing days of the session.
