Lobster, steamers and clams are New England summer staples -- and treats for a special winter occasion like a Patriots Super Bowl game. Here's our shellfish recipe collection.

Road to the bowl: Our first playoff success was last week's Sun-Dried Tomato Dip. (Blending walnuts and water chestnuts with garlic, onions and garlic, soaked tangy tomatoes and wine vinegar produced a fresh, new taste that works especially well with crackers, tortilla chips or celery. Lacking wine vinegar, we mixed wine and rice vinegar.. You could make it with yogurt rather than the low-fat sour cream called for; it would be just as tasty. The sour cream version is spreadable; perhaps with yogurt it would be more of a true dip. This dip dominated.
