A gala night for animals at Roger Williams Zoo

Elephants frolic in the dirt at a "Zoobilee: Feast with the Beasts" fundraiser at Roger Williams Park Zoo. This year’s bash will be Saturday from 7 to 11 p.m.

Zoobilee: Feast with the Beasts, Rhode Island Zoological Society’s annual fundraising bash to benefit Roger Williams Park Zoo, is set for Saturday from 7 to 11 p.m. It will include food from area restaurants including Audrey’s Restaurant, The Capital Grille, Cucina Twist, Hemenway’s Seafood Grill & Oyster Bar, L’Attitude Modern Eatery, McFadden’s Restaurant, The Old Grist Mill Tavern, Post Office Café, Roba Dolce, Trinity Brewhouse, Union Station Brewery and Vanderbilt Hotel. Entertainment will be by World Premier Band, The Chasers, African drumming by Ten31 Productions and the performance group Big Nazo. Douglas Wine and Spirits will host the Zootini Bar featuring themed martinis.
There will be a silent auction with an array of items including original animal artwork, weekend getaways, behind-the-scenes animal encounters, sports memorabilia and a walk-on role in a movie or television series. Some items will be available for online bidding only at www.rogerwilliamspark zoo.org’s Zoobilee link. Bid until tomorrow. Tickets to the over-21 event are $125 for non-members and $100 for current zoo members.
