Thank goodness for restaurants open on Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving is next week and if cooking isn’t part of the plan, here are the restaurants that have reported being open. Call ahead to reserve or risk being sent on your way.

Restaurants serving on Thanksgiving

Providence

Andreas Restaurant, 268 Thayer St., (401) 331-7879, serves Greek and American cuisine from 11 a.m. until midnight with specials and the full dinner menu.

Barnsider’s Mile & a Quarter, 375 South Main St., (401) 351-7300, will serve from 11:30 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Brickway on Wickenden, 234 Wickenden St., (401) 751-2477, will serve the regular breakfast and lunch menu with turkey specials. They are open from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m.

L’Epicureo, at The Hotel Providence, 311 Westminster St., (401) 490-8119, serves from noon to 7 p.m. with the full menu and holiday specials.

McCormick & Schmick’s Seafood Restaurant, 11 Dorrance St., (401) 351-4500, opens from 6 a.m. to midnight serving from a breakfast, lunch and dinner menu.

Mill’s Tavern, 101 North Main St., (401) 272-3331, serves dinner from noon to 7 p.m. Offerings will be from the seasonal menu along with holiday dishes.

Marriott Providence Downtown, One Orms St., (401) 272-5852, hosts a buffet from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. The cost is $30 (for children ages 5 to 12 it’s $16).

Napa Valley Grille, 111 Providence Place, (401) 270-6272, serves 11:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. In addition to the full menu, a traditional turkey feast for $23.95 including roasted turkey, caramelized green apple and sage stuffing and more will be served as will a children’s buffet with turkey, baked penne pasta chicken fingers, grilled pizza, and mac and cheese.

Taste of India, 230 Wickenden St., (401) 421-4355, will serve menu items including pakoras, samosas and soups for appetizers, and tandoori items and seafood sizzlers. A lunch buffet runs from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Dinner will be served from 5 to 9:30 p.m.

Twist on Angell, 500 Angell St., (401) 831-4500, serves from noon to 6 p.m. with a traditional roast turkey dinner.

The Waterman Grille, 4 Richmond Square, (401) 521-9229, hosts a buffet from noon to 6 p.m. The cost is $45 ($25 for children 12 and under).

East Bay

The Boat House, 227 Schooner Drive, Tiverton, (401) 624-6300, offers a four-course fixed price menu with suggested wine pairings additional. Dinner is from 11a.m. to 6 p.m. The cost is $48 ($16 for children 12 and under).

DeWolf Tavern, 259 Thames St., Bristol, (401) 254-2005, will serve a six-course fireside dinner from noon to 6 p.m. $39.95. Harvest soup with chickpea fritters, salad, roast turkey with sage stuffing, grilled prime rib au jus, or roast organic king salmon and more are on the menu.

Madeira Restaurant, 288 Warren Ave., East Providence, (401) 431-1322, will be open from 11:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. serving a traditional turkey dinner as well as a full selection of Portuguese cuisine.

Newport area

Bay Voyage Inn, 150 Conanicus Ave., Jamestown, (401) 423-2100, has a dinner buffet from 11:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. with carving stations, cold displays and desserts. The cost is $47.95 ($15.95 for children under 10).

Castle Hill Inn & Resort, 590 Ocean Drive, Newport, (401) 849-3800, serves a dinner buffet from noon to 4 p.m. The cost is $58 ($24 for children under 4).

The Clarke Cooke House, Bannister’s Wharf, Newport, (401) 849-2900, will be open from 11:30 a.m. until 10 p.m. offering a traditional roast turkey dinner with all the trimmings. There will also be a la carte items from chef Ted Gidley’s eclectic cooking. Pricing for children will be less.

The Mooring Seafood Kitchen & Bar, Sayer’s Wharf, Newport, (401) 846-2260, will have the regular menu and a traditional dinner of all white meat turkey with mashed potatoes, stuffing, roasted butternut squash, and more. Dinner will be served from 1 to 7 p.m.

Spiced Pear Restaurant, The Chanler at Cliff Walk, 117 Memorial Blvd., Newport, (401) 847-2244, will feature extended breakfast service until 11:30 a.m., close for lunch and re-open for seatings from 2-6 p.m. for a fixed-price dinner with four courses for $90 ($60 per child aged 12 and under).

The White Horse Tavern, 26 Marlborough St., Newport, (401) 849-3600, serves a fixed-price meal for $70. Serving times are from noon to 6 p.m.

22 Bowen’s Wine Bar & Grille, 22 Bowen’s Wharf, Newport, (401) 841-8884, offers specials in addition to its regular menu including roasted turkey with meat stuffing, bacon-shallot Brussels sprout leaves, mashed roasted sweet potatoes and more. Dinner will be served from noon to 9 p.m.

North

Anthony’s Italian Cucina, 659 Killingly St., Johnston, (401) 454-1996, opens from noon to 4 p.m. serving a traditional turkey dinner plus pie and coffee for $20.95.

Faial Restaurant, 970 Douglas Pike, Smithfield, (401) 231-1100, hosts dinner from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. with a turkey dinner. The regular menu will also be served including prime rib dinner.

Pinelli’s Cucina and The Grille, 900 Victory Highway, North Smithfield, (401) 767-2444, opens from 11:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. serving a menu of traditional favorites featuring roast turkey and all the fixings.

Ristorante Via Roma, 1861 Smith St., North Providence, (401) 349-3350, hosts a family style dinner noon to 2:30 p.m. and 4:30 to 7 p.m. Antipasto salad, roasted turkey, baked honey ham will be served; dessert and beverages not included. The cost is $16.95 ($8.95 for children 6 to 10).

Village Haven Restaurant, 90 School St., Forestdale, (401) 762-4242, opens from noon to 3 p.m. serving turkey or chicken family style, prime rib au jus or baked stuffed shrimp.

Wildfire Brick Oven Pizza and Bar, 1874 Mineral Spring Ave., North Providence, (401) 353-7110, serves a traditional dinner along with other holiday specials from 1 to 6 p.m. The cost is $24.95 for adults, $12.95 for children 12 and under. Pizza, sandwiches and salads will be served from 6 to 10 p.m.

South County

Casey’s, 191 Old Tower Hill Rd., Wakefield, (401) 789-9714, offers a multi-course meal with choice of turkey, shrimp Newburg served on a puffed pastry shell or prime rib. The cost is $16.99 ($8.99 for children over 5) Seatings are at noon, 1, 2 and 3:30 p.m.

Cracker Barrel, 825 Center of New England Blvd., Coventry, (401) 827-8015, will be open 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. with turkey specials. They have turkey dinner-to-go for $49.99 for six people.

The Shelter Harbor Inn, 10 Wagner Rd., Westerly, (401) 322-8883, will serve a four-course dinner with soup, salad, entree choice and dessert for $36.95 from noon to 8 p.m.

The 1661 Inn & Hotel Manisses, Block Island, (800) 626-4773, has a buffet dinner with a holiday menu with seatings from 2:30 to 6:30 p.m. The cost is $36. Room rates will be from $90 to $200.

West Bay

Cowesett Inn, 226 Cowesett Ave., West Warwick, (401) 828-4726, opens noon to 11 p.m. by reservation only.

The Grille on Main, 50 Main St., East Greenwich, (401) 885-2200, opens from 11:30 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. serving turkey and all the trimmings.

Harbourside Lobstermania, Water Street, East Greenwich, (401) 884-6363, opens at noon with a turkey dinner for $14.95 ($9.95 for children). The regular dinner menu will also be served.

Legal Seafoods, 2099 Post Rd., Warwick, (401) 732-3663, serves baked stuffed lobster filled with shrimp and scallop cracker stuffing, Cranberry Bog Lemon martinis along with traditional roasted turkey breast with sausage stuffing. Hours are 1-8 p.m.

The Radisson Airport Hotel, Warwick, (401) 739-3000, hosts a buffet from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the University Ballroom. Cost is $25.95, $22.95 (seniors) and $13.95 (children).

Ted’s Montana Grill, 2 Chapel View Blvd., Cranston, (401) 275-5070, offers dinner for $35 including soup or salad, roast turkey, side dishes and nutty apple crisp. Non-alcoholic beverages will be included. Cedar plank salmon and prime rib are also offered.

Twist Restaurant, 336 Bald Hill Rd., Warwick, (401) 734-4440, opens from noon to 6 p.m. for traditional dinner.

West Valley Inn, 4 Blossom St., West Warwick, offers an all-you-can-eat family-style Thanksgiving dinner served between noon and 5 p.m. with soup, pasta, salad, turkey with gravy, stuffing, mashed potatoes, and more. The cost is $17.50 and $10 for children 5 to 10.

Massachusetts

Johnson & Wales Inn, Seekonk, has a buffet in the Regency Ballroom, (508) 336-8700, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Cost is $25.95, ($22.95 for seniors and $13.95 for children). Audrey’s Restaurant, (508) 336-4636, serves a traditional four-course turkey dinner from noon until 6 p.m. Dinner is $30, ($27 for seniors and $14 for children 12 and younger).

Morin’s Hometown Bar and Grill, 16 South Main St., Attleboro, (508) 222-9875, hosts a buffet with turkey and more from noon to 2. The cost is $22.50 ($12 for children). Reservations required.

Venus de Milo Restaurant, 75 Grand Army Highway , Swansea, hosts dinner during the day and dining from the regular menu in the evening. The dinner menu includes roast stuffed young tom turkey, sausage stuffing, mashed turnips, squash, mashed potato with gravy and choice of dessert for $17.95 and $9.95 children 10 and younger. Connecticut

Foxwoods Resort Casino features Paragon serving fixed-price menu and family style dishes for $65 ($25 for children). Also serving are Al Dente, Cedars Steak House, Veranda CafÉ with dinner for less than $20 and Festival Buffet. For reservations, call (800) 369-9663.

Octagon, 625 North Rd., Groton, (860) 326-0360, hosts dinner with five stations from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. The cost is $45 ($32 for seniors and $19.95 for children 6 to 11).
