So, you don’t have tickets to tonight’s World Series game in Fenway. Join the crowd.
You’ll find baseball fans gathered all over, in virtually any restaurant or any bar, anywhere in the state. All it takes is a television, sometimes lots of them, and large ones.
Perhaps you, too, have a TV. And maybe it’s big. But can you cook? And, most importantly, can you high-five yourself?
Get out. Live a little. Meet your fellow citizens of Red Sox Nation.
Have some chicken wings or onion rings, or other pub food. Have hamburgers or pizzas. Or heck, use some silverware. Eat steak, seafood, chicken or whatever else might dictate the use of utensils.
Maybe the game’s what matters most to you. But good food can add flavor to the experience. Tell that to the 38,000 or so unlucky people who have to watch the game at the ball park where gastronomic selection doesn’t go much beyond peanuts and hot dogs.
There, don’t you feel better already?
What follows is not an all-inclusive list of local places to watch the game in public. But it is a pretty good guide of where to go, indicating the number and size of TVs to be found, and the type of food to be enjoyed.
