Reader responds: Dried milk is both lighter and less expensive
04:10 PM EST on Friday, January 11, 2008
As a senior citizen, I am offering the following. I have been using dried milk for a number of years. It not only is skim but can be stored in a dry state until you need it which means that it is less likely to get sour and be thrown away, it is nourishing, less expensive than liquid milk and if not as tasty as the liquid, can be reinforced by adding a little more of the dried milk than what is called for in preparation I find it helpful when marketing, not having to carry milk on a regular basis.
