Cooking on the grill never gets old. You can do it night after night and
still find the joy in the same old song.
There's a whole world of choices. Chicken, steak or fish, take your
pick. Marinated or naked. Rare or well done. Hot dogs or filet mignon.
The grill is an equal-opportunity cooker. You can take a turn with a
link of sausages or grill a rack of lamb.
Grilled pizza makes a lovely appetizer. And don't asparagus and corn on
the cob sound nice?
Why does it all taste so good? Because we grill outside in the warm
spring and summer air. Because we grill with friends and neighbors over
a cold beverage. Because we take our time and drink in nature all
around. Because the sweet smoky smells make our noses happy.
Sure, we can grill all year long -- and many of us do. But now we can do
it without the parka and boots.
