Pubs and restaurants where fans can down a few for a few downs

This is the football fans have waited for all season and their favorite pubs and restaurants will all have the big game on. A few places are offering buffets and specials but most will serve up the regular menu.
PROVIDENCE
Blake’s Tavern, 122 Washington St., (401) 274-1230, has 13 TVs, the largest of which is 32 inches. Your food choices, which are all moderate in price, are pub food, barbecue, grilled steaks, chicken and seafood.
Jake’s Bar & Grill, 373 Richmond St., (401) 453-5253, has two 27-inch TVs, and offers pizza and pub food.
McFadden’s Restaurant and Saloon, 52 Pine St., (401) 861-1782, has 50 TVs, one at each table, and others around the restaurant; the largest is 100 inches. The menu has a few Irish offerings, such as Shepherd’s pie and corned beef and cabbage, and also pub food, steaks, seafood and pasta.
Murphy’s Deli & Grill, 100 Fountain St., (401) 621-8467, has five TVs. The largest is 45 inches. And it offers pub fare.
Ristorante Pizzico, 762 Hope St., Providence, (401) 421-4114, there is a large-screen TV in the bar.
Rhode Island Billiards & Bistro, 2026 Smith St., (401) 232-1331, has 16 TVs, the largest of which is 52 inches. Pub food fills out the menu, along with pizza, calzones and a couple of steak and chicken dishes.
Shula’s 347 Grill, 21 Atwells Ave., (401) 709-0347, has seven TVs, the largest of which is 40 inches, and is a moderately priced steakhouse.
Snookers, 145 Clifford St., Providence, (401) 351-POOL, www.snookerspoollounge.com, has a 36-foot, high definition wall of video and 30-plus television sets and 20-cent wings offered during the game.
Trinity Brewhouse, 186 Fountain St., (401) 453-2337, has six TVs, the largest of which is 37 inches, and serves comfort food.
Wild Colonial Tavern, 250 South Water St., (401) 621-5644, named one of the 50 best bars in America by Esquire magazine, will have the games on.
EAST BAY
Aidan’s Pub & Grub, 5 John St., Bristol Harbor, Bristol, (401) 254-1940, provides inexpensive pub food, and Irish comfort food such as bangers and mash. It has two 27-inch TVs.
American Family Billiards, 87 Gooding Ave., Bristol, (401) 396-9989, will serve complimentary hearty appetizers, unlimited pool playing and the game on two 50-inch TVs. The cost is $20. Beer, pitchers, wine and soda are available for purchase. Doors open at 4 p.m. Reserve space today by calling (401) 569-2108.
Brick Alley Pub & Restaurant, 140 Thames St., Newport, (401) 849-6334, has a moderately priced and eclectic menu of seafood, beef and Italian cuisine. It has nine TVs, the largest of which is 45 inches.
Coddington Brewing Company, 210 Coddington Highway, Middletown, (401) 847-6690, has eight TVs, the largest of which is 50 inches. Its menu is moderately priced and features beer-friendly foods, such as nachos, steaks and ribs.
Mulhearn’s Pub, 507 North Broadway, East Providence, (401) 438-9292, has two large screens and three regular TVs with pub food and complimentary appetizers.
Red Bridge Tavern, 22 Waterman Ave., East Providence, (401) 438-3899, has four TVs, two large screen, and offers seafood specialties, burgers and prizes.
Tickets Bar and Grille, 15 Aquidneck Ave., Middletown, (401) 847-7678, has 14 TVs, the largest of which is 48 inches, and serves traditional American fare.
Trendy’s Pizza & Pasta, 286 Maple Ave., Barrington, (401) 245-6371, has big screen televisions and will have a complimentary half-time buffet plus food and drink specials.
NORTH
Arena CafÉ, 103 Mount Charles Ave., Woonsocket, (401) 762-9488, has two TVs, the largest of which is 32 inches, and traditional American dishes and pub food.
Box Seats Family Restaurant, 332 Farnum Pike, Smithfield, (401) 233-1800, has seven TVs, the largest of which is 46 inches. The menu is large with seafood and burgers and pastas as well as sandwiches.
Christopher’s, 614 North Main St., Woonsocket, (401) 767-3201, is a family restaurant with four large screens and one regular TV.
Doherty’s Irish Pub, 342 East Ave. Pawtucket, (401) 725-9520, has eight TVs including a 100-inch projection screen. There is a full menu from appetizers to steaks and seafood and 111 different beers (42 on tap and 69 in the bottle).
Fred and Steve’s Steakhouse, Twin River, 100 Twin River Rd., Lincoln, (401) 475-8400, has a very comfortable bar area with a large TV and comfy chairs plus a full menu of steak and sides.
Gator’s Pub, 11 Mount Pleasant Rd, North Smithfield, (401) 769-2220, has eight TVs, the largest of which is 52 inches. Traditional pub food prevails.
Harmony CafÉ, 3 Main St., Manville, Lincoln, (401) 762-9350, has a 65-inch and 46-inch HD TVs and four more TVs.
Littlefield’s, 175 Eddie Dowling Highway, North Smithfield, (401) 762-1997, has five TVs, two are 50-inch, and offers pub food and 25-cent chicken wings.
Lou’s CafÉ, 47 Summer St., Manville, Lincoln, (401) 762-9741, has a full menu including fried chicken, meatloaf, steaks, seafood and chowder. They have three HD TVs, one is over 50 inches.
Ribs & Company, 1383 Atwood Ave., Johnston, (401) 944-5432, is offering specialty NFL nights in the lounge. During any NFL game, there are several appetizer specials and draft beer.
Third Base, 422 High St., Cumberland, (401) 723-4411, has 12 TVs, three are over 50 inches, and serves Italian, Portuguese and pub food.
Timeout Bar and Grill, 940 Mendon Ave., Cumberland, offers pub food and six TVs, including two over 50 inches.
Weatherlane’s, 348 River St., Woonsocket, (401) 762-0900, has 10 TVs, two are large screen, with a menu that includes sandwiches, pizza, filet mignon and lobster salad rolls.
SOUTH COUNTY
Casey’s Grill and Bar, 191 Old Tower Hill Rd., Wakefield, (401) 789-9714, has 17 TVs; the largest is 70 inches. They serve a buffet from 5:30 to 9:30 and the cost is $12.50, plus tax and gratuity. It includes a chef carved steamship round, lasagna, Buffalo wings, chili and a garden salad.
Charlie O’s, 2 Sand Hill Cove Rd., Narragansett, (401) 782-2002, has 19 TVs, two of which are 60 inches. Pub food is offered.
Giro’s Restaurant, 501 High St., South Kingstown, (401) 789-0842, one large-screen TV accessible to the whole restaurant and free pizza and Buffalo and teriyaki wings.Mews Tavern, 456 Main St., Wakefield, (401) 783-9370, has 13 TVs, the largest of which is 56 inches. The food includes burgers, calzones, pizzas and Mexican dishes.
PJ’s Pub, 135 Boon St., Narragansett, (401) 789-3200, one large and two regular-size TVs and pub fare, pizza, seafood, steak and pasta.
South County Tavern & Grill, 570 Nooseneck Hill Rd., Exeter, (401) 397-0002, has two TVs, one that’s 62 inches, and another that’s 6 feet by 9 feet. The food ranges from steak and seafood to Italian.
Twin Willows, 865 Boston Neck Rd., Narragansett, (401) 789-8153, has 18 TVs, the largest of which is 62 inches. Moderately priced seafood is the specialty.
WEST BAY
Anthony’s Restaurant, 659 Killingly St., Johnston, (401) 454-1996, has nine TVs, the largest of which is 48 inches. There’s a pub menu, Italian offerings, and 25-cent chicken wings and half-priced appetizers during the game.
Boston Billiard Club, 33 Lambert Lind Hwy., Warwick, (401) 732-7665, has 23 TVs, the largest of which is 72 inches. The menu is mostly pub food: sandwiches, wraps, burgers and nachos.
Charlie’s Place, 35 Sandy Bottom Rd., Coventry, (401) 828-1810, offers steaks, seafood and burgers and have one large TV and a couple smaller ones.
Dave’s Bar and Grille, 2339 Post Rd., Warwick, (401) 739-7444, has 30 TVs, three of which are projected on 12-foot screens. The food is pub fare with seafood and steak.
Fitzpatrick’s Pub, 1145 Park Ave. Cranston, (401) 943-8368, hosts a Super Bowl party from 3 p.m. to 1 a.m. Sunday with an all you can eat buffet with stuffed pork loin, baked stuffed shrimp, barbecue ribs, chicken marsala, shrimp cocktail and more. The cost is $20 and tickets can be purchased at the pub after 4 p.m. daily.
The Grille on Main, 50 Main St., East Greenwich, (401) 885-2200, has half-price pizza and appetizers at the bar with three TVs and one large-screen TV.
Picasso’s Pizza & Pub, 2323 Warwick Ave., Warwick, (401) 739-5030, has more than three dozen TVs, one at each table, and a few others around the restaurant, the largest of which is 60 inches. As its name suggests, the featured foods are pizza and pub food.
Sharx Bar & Grill, 505 Atwood Ave., Cranston, (401) 464-8877, offers pub fare and 30 TVs, including a 72-inch and 63-inch.
Silvio’s Sports Club and CafÉ, 133 Greenville Ave., Johnston, (401) 231-5060, has six TVs, including one that’s projected on a 20-foot screen. The featured foods are pizza and casual Italian.
Smokey Bones BBQ & Grille, in the Bald Hill Commons, Warwick, (401) 821-2789, has 48 TVs, the largest of which is projected on a 97-inch screen. Naturally, the specialty is barbecue.
MASSACHUSETTS
Box Seats, 500 East Washington St., North Attleboro, (508) 695-0660, offers seafood and burgers with eight TVs and one 52-inch TV.
Harry O’s Sports Pub, 194 West Main St., Norton, Mass. (508) 285-4299, has a 61-inch and 50-inch TVs and 16 regular-size TVs, and they offer steak, stir fry and seafood.
Jillian’s, 1876 Wilbur Ave., Somerset, (508) 678-1140, has 18 flat-screen TVs with pub fare.
Wetherlaine’s Pub, 266 County St., Attleboro, Mass., (508) 222-9730, a family restaurant with large portion fried clams and daily specials. They have a 50-inch TV and five flat screens.
