Ocean State Chocolates and Confections offers the Autumn Harvest from the Farm Truffle Collection made with the most recent bounty from Rhode Island farms. The collection features Honey Amaretto Peachy Pumpkin made with peaches from Sunset Orchards, North Scituate, and Pumpkin from Rabbit’s Dance Farm, Cumberland; Brown Sugar Cinnamon Proseco Roasted Pear made with pears from Sunset Orchards; Blueberry Pie made with blueberries from Schartner Farms, Exeter; Sweet Corn Maple Eggnog made with corn from Sunset Farms, Narragansett, and maple syrup from Charlie’s Sugar House, Greene; Applejack Daniels made with apples from Hill Orchards, Johnston; MayaFire Triple Chili Pepper made with peppers from Dame Farm, Johnston; Pink Ice made with strawberries from Sweet Berry Farm, Middletown; and Chocolate Formaggio made with heirloom tomatoes from Arcadian Fields, Hope Valley, and aged Italian cheese from Narragansett Creamery. Cricket’s Restaurant, 280 Washington Highway, Smithfield, announces the return of its Sunday Brunch Buffet. It includes Eggs Benedict and other breakfast items, carving and omelet stations, pasta and desserts. Also included are mimosas and Bloody Marys. Reserve by calling (401) 232-0300.

It’s a wine reception with Vickers’ Liquors from 6 to 8 p.m. with hors d’oeuvres. The cost is $20 and tickets must be purchased in advance by calling (401) 847-6881 or (401) 849-7087.

Andrew’s Bistro, 3755 Mendon Rd., Cumberland, (401) 658-1515, www.andrewsbistro.com, is offering dinner for two at $38 including a bottle of house wine on Mondays and Tuesdays. The fixed-price menu consists of a three-course meal featuring a choice of soup du jour or garden salad, a choice of an entree and a choice of dessert.

Troup House Restaurant, 477 Broadway, Providence, (401) 228-8500, trouphouserestaurant.com, has a new fall luncheon menu that includes panini served on artisan bread with French fries as well as a selection of salads, pastas and a polenta of the day. Spiga Trattoria, 162 Mayfield Ave., Cranston, (401) 463-6075, will hold its first Sagra dinner, The Beet goes on for Fall Wednesday, Oct. 22, at 6 p.m. The cost is $30. Includes house-made agnolotti filled with beets and ricotta cheese and chocolate beet cake.

Cafe Paragon, 234 Thayer St., Providence, (401) 331-6200, www.paragonandviva.com, has a weekly three-course fixed-price menu Monday through Thursday for $19.99. The Champagne Sunday Brunch includes pasta, omelet and carving station for $13.99 to $17.99.

Dockside Seafood, 2275 Warwick Ave. Warwick, (401) 921-5005, is the setting for a fundraising festival to benefit the Rhode Island Community Food Bank on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The rain date is Sunday. The event is free with vendors offering music, activities and complimentary food. Guests are encouraged to make a donation of funds at the door for the Food Bank, which provides nutritious food to families in need.

Johnson & Wales University Culinary Arts Museum, 315 Harborside Blvd., Providence, hosts a book signing, discussion and tasting with Marilynn and Sheila Brass, authors of Heirloom Cooking with the Brass Sisters on Tuesday, Oct. 14 with a reception at 6:30 and event at 7 p.m.

Cooking with Class features chef Frank Terranova, an associate instructor at Johnson & Wales University, cooking Italian recipes next week during the noon and 5:30 p.m. newscasts on Channel 10.

Hell’s Kitchen, the Fox TV reality show with infamous chef Gordon Ramsey will hold its first-ever casting call in New England on Sunday in Boston. Senior Casting Producers are looking for skilled “chefs” who are passionate about cooking and are hungry to prove their talents.
