What's next for you?
I'll be attending Boston University in the fall. I plan to study in the Communications field, and possibly major in broadcast journalism or public relations, and minor in something like global public health.
What aspect of college are you most looking forward to? What aspect makes you anxious?
Like most of my classmates, I'm excited to get out and meet lots of new people with different backgrounds and interests. I'm probably most anxious about being in a big city, I'm a country girl.
What do you hope to be doing in 10 years?
Traveling, serving in the PeaceCorr, making movies, reporting for a major television network...there are so many things!
What words do you live by?
When I was in third grade, my teacher had the words "Immerse
yourself" on the wall and it has always stuck with me.
If I weren't so busy I would:
be bored and restless.
What is your most
vivid high school memory?
Traveling with other students on a service trip to the Dominican
Republic. That experience will stick with me for the rest
of my life.
What will you miss
most about your high school days?
Moses Brown is a great community, where everyone knows each
other. I'll definitley miss that closeness, along with all
of the wonderful people I've met there
What would people be surprised to learn about you?
I'm a non-pastatarian (I hate pasta).
How concerned are you about the environment?
Very concerned.
What worries you most about the environment?
I've definitley jumped into the global warming crowd,
but lately the advance in commercialism and over-development
has been an issue I'm focused on.
If you could write a letter to your ninth
grade self, what advice would you give?
Just be yourself and don't let anyone hold you back
from doing what interests you.
