What's next for you?
I'll be attending Brown
University in the fall. I'm still debating between International
Relations and Pre-Med; I guess I'll figure it out once I get
there.
What aspect of college are you most looking forward to? What aspect makes you anxious?
I really look forward to academic freedom and in depth class
discussions. The idea of living away from home is a little
unnerving, though.
What do you hope to be doing in 10 years?
I'm still actually not sure. I'd like to eventually do something
with a humanitarian organization, though which one depends
on what I study in college.
What words do you live by?
I don't really live by a quote or a motto, but I just try
to remember that whatever happens, I'll have love and support
from my friends and family to help me along the way.
If I weren't so busy I would:
spend a lot more time outside with friends.
What is your most vivid high school memory?
I think I'll remember the dances the most. Though I've always
been grouchy beforehand, I've had a great time at all of them.
What will you miss most about your high school days?
I'll miss seeing friends and teachers on a daily basis. It's
hard to leave something I've grown so comfortable with.
What would people be surprised to learn about you?
They might be surprised to learn about my closeted ambition to be a rap star. Or that I tried out (and got the part) for the Scarecrow in my school's the Wizard of Oz, just to be ironic.
How concerned are you about the environment?
I certainly believe that global warming is a crisis that demands everyone's attention, though I also think the humanitarian problems around the world deserve equal, if not more, action.
What worries you most about the environment?
I'm nervous about the adverse effects that global
warming might have on the people already suffering around
the world.
If you could write a letter to your ninth grade self, what advice would you give?
Don't try to do so much. Relax and spend more time
with your friends.
