R.I. high school graduations for June 18, 2009

The Class of 2009
Chariho Regional High School will hold commencement for about 295 graduates at the Ryan Center at the University of Rhode Island. Stacy Marie LeHerissier, who will attend Lehigh University in the fall, is the class valedictorian, and Allyson Sue Fell, who will attend West Virginia Wesleyan College, is the salutatorian. Shea High School will hold commencement for about 190 graduates at Max Read Field. In case of rain, ceremonies will be held in the high school. Ramy Pena, who will attend Brown University in the fall, is the class valedictorian. Alyson Catalan, who is going to Assumption College, is the salutatorian. The New England Academy of Torah held commencement for six graduates on June 8 at the Providence Hebrew Day School. Yehudis Shifra Raskin, who will study in Israel next year, gave the valedictorian address. This year’s graduates were a diverse group with students coming from Israel, Canada and the United States.
