Country music wunderkind

Hope Valley's Billy Gilman had a big 2000. His first album, One Voice, recorded before he turned 12, was the top-selling debut for any country artist. Gilman went on to win an American Music Award for Favorite New Country Artist, and gained a Grammy nomination for Best Male Country performance for One Voice, the youngest solo performer ever nominated. His new album Dare To Dream, released in May, went gold in two months, selling more than 500,000 copies.
