The Young Bloods use the symbols YB and 252. Y is the 25th letter in the alphabet; B is the second.

The Young Bloods favor the color red -- and the St. Louis Cardinals and the Red Sox -- because the gang aligns itself with the Los Angeles-based Bloods gang.

Bitter rivals with the Hanover Boyz, the Young Bloods are a large West End gang that stretches into the South Side and Cranston. The police estimate that there are about 60 members. One of the leaders is Nirut "Shorty" Seng, below. Gang members are Asian, Latino, African-American and white.
