With about 25 members, the 18th Street Gang is based in the city’s West End. Many members are of Guatemalan descent, but the gang is a mix of Asians, African-Americans and Latinos. The police say that the gang is involved in document fraud and fights with rival gangs, especially MS-13. Weapons of choice are knives and bats -- not firearms.
