I only compared URI to the other state universities in New England (most of which are in rural areas, such as Amherst, Mass., Storrs, Conn. and Durham, N.H.), and then colleges in the state of Rhode Island, so I do not know how rural versus urban colleges compare.

Stephanie Boucher is enjoying her freshman year at the University of Rhode Island well enough. She lives in one of the nicest dormitories on the Kingston campus, dubbed Hotel Browning, has made friends, and likes her classes.
