When the birds come singing, the enthusiasts come calling
CHARLESTOWN -- We stalked the wild warblers, not to harm them, just to see them as they flit through Rhode Island on their annual spring migration. Mid-May is the peak of warbler season here, and though the season got off to a slow start, that all changed yesterday.

Bird-watching marathon to feather Audubon's nest
SMITHFIELD -- Birds won't be the only things flocking to the marshes, forests and beaches of Rhode Island this weekend. They will be joined by a posse of bird watchers drawn by the Audubon Society of Rhode Island's annual Birdathon.

URI study shows global warming having a chilling effect on songbirds
With the onset of spring, songbirds are returning to feeders and nests as scientists are taking a close look at whether the birds are being affected by global warming.
