In a nearly unprecedented move, the state attorney general's office released thousands of pages of previously secret grand jury testimony, witness statements and videos associated with The Station nightclub fire criminal investigation.
On Nov. 29, 2006, Attorney General Patrick C. Lynch released more than 3,000 pages of documents, evidence collected as part of the investigation into the fire.
The releases followed a public records' request by The Providence Journal, The Associated Press and the Boston Globe, as noted by the attorney general. The evidence was edited for privacy and sensitivity by the AG's Office and reviewed by The Journal.
The following are selections from the releases, highlighted on projo.com's 7to7blog.
