The Rhode Island Department of Education compiles daily attendance reports for every school in Rhode Island to help the Rhode Island Department of Health track the spread of illnesses, including the H1N1 virus.
The Providence Journal and projo.com have created a database of absentee statistics for each school. The statistics include both public and private schools. The Journal has tallied regional schools in the community in which the school is located.
