SOUTH KINGSTOWN -- An employee of a North Kingstown nursing home was ordered held without bail today after he was arraigned on charges that he sexually assaulted two nursing home residents.

Saul A. Lancerio, 40, of 108 Union Drive, has been charged with two counts of first-degree sexual assault for allegedly assaulting an 80-year-old woman and a 62-year-old woman last week at the South County Nursing Center.

Lancerio was ordered held at the Adult Correctional Institutions until a Nov. 10 bail hearing.

Lancerio, who does not speak English, was assisted by a translator during his arraignment today in Fourth Division District Court, South Kingstown.

Lancerio was described as a nursing home employee in court proceedings, but his specific job title was not provided.
