Nursing home worker held on patient assault charges

SOUTH KINGSTOWN -- An employee of a North Kingstown nursing home was
ordered held without bail today after he was arraigned on charges that
he sexually assaulted two nursing home residents.
Saul A. Lancerio, 40, of 108 Union Drive, has been charged with two
counts of first-degree sexual assault for allegedly assaulting an
80-year-old woman and a 62-year-old woman last week at the South County
Nursing Center.
Lancerio was ordered held at the Adult Correctional Institutions until a
Nov. 10 bail hearing.
Lancerio, who does not speak English, was assisted by a translator
during his arraignment today in Fourth Division District Court, South
Kingstown.
Lancerio was described as a nursing home employee in court proceedings,
but his specific job title was not provided.
