Bryant travels to Iona for next-to-last game of season

Bryant (5-4) will begin its season-ending march Saturday in New Rochelle, N.Y., against Iona (3-7) and the conclude its first season of Division I football next week at St. Francis. The Bulldogs are 3-4 against Division One competition.
Bryant had a week off to savor its 24-10 victory over Duquesne on Nov. 1. Jerell Smith ran for 129 yards and Lindsey Gamble for 94, and quarterback Jay Graber passed for 213 yards in that one. Smith needs one yard to reach 1,000 this season.
Bryant’s defense has played well most of the year. The Bulldogs lead the nation with 27 take-aways and are allowing opposing runners only 104.6 yards per game.
