Friends of the JMS Memorial Library in Burrillville, RI recently held the second annual Gifts from the Heart dinner and silent auction at the Crystal Lake Golf Club. Net proceeds were $5,000 with 100 people in attendance. In addition to the dinner and silent auction, guests were entertained by a Piano Reception courtesy of Michael V. Thurber, Artistic Director of the theatre Company of Rhode Island, and dance music by HNJ Sounds. The winner of the"heads and tails" game received a Nintendo wii and accessory package. Chairperson of the event was Wendy Andrews, President of the Friends of the JMS Memorial Library; and Emcee was Sandra Cooney, owner of Sandra Cooney Public Relations and also a member of the governing board.
