This makes at least five dozen and is a very dependable recipe. 9/11/1985 Mix dry ingredients together first. Add slightly beaten eggs and milk. Add quahaugs and juice last. Mix together jusdt enough to blend, do not beat until smooth, this makes tough clam cakes. The batter shoudl be the consistency of whipped potatoes and a few lumps are all right. Add more juice if too thick. Drop in 375 degree corn oil using small drops with an ice cream scoop.
