Willie Banks said he couldn't believe his eyes when he saw what the
Japanese ate when he first arrived in the country. So he stuck to a
simple dietary plan initially.

"One dude, my first day over there, got this big fish. I didn't know
what kind of fish it was, but it was huge. And then he took his
chopsticks and poked the eyes out of the fish and ate them," said Banks,
still recoiling in horror over that memory.
"Man, I ate McDonald's for my first three months over there. That was
the only thing I could keep in my stomach. I'd say I wanted some shrimp
and they'd serve you shrimp with some eyes looking at you. I don't eat
no eyes, man. I don't eat no sushi, man. For a while all I ate was
cheeseburgers because that was the only thing they served that didn't
have no eyes on it."
