Thanksgiving
1990 SANGRIA
1 liter dry red wine, preferably a Spanish rioja
2 tablespoons orange juice
2 tablespoons lemon juice
2 tablespoons orange liqueur
1 tablespoon (more or less, to taste) sugar
1 orange, cut into slices
1 peach, cut into wedges
1 cup seltzer water
Ice cubes
The day before serving, combine the wine, orange juice, lemon juice, liqueur, and sugar in a pitcher. Refrigerate overnight.
Just before serving, add the orange slices, peach wedges, and seltzer water. Pour over ice in wine glasses. Serves 4.
