LETTERS:
The Providence Journal's Northwest edition welcomes letters to the editor
and longer commentary pieces on topics of local interest for publication. Letters
can be e-mailed to nwnews@projo.com
They also can be faxed, mailed or brought to the office at 1395 Atwood Ave.,
Johnston. The fax number is 943-8192. Items submitted become the property of
The Providence Journal, which reserves the right to edit and reject submissions
as necessary. Letters must deal with a specific topic related to a Northwest
community and should be no longer than 400 words. If typewritten, they must
be double spaced. The Journal reserves the right to edit all letters for length
and clarity. Letters in which the author makes unfounded allegations about an
individual, business or group will not be published. Letters must state the
writer's name, address, and a daytime phone number, to verify the author and
in case clarifications must be made. Telephone numbers will not be published.
ADVERTISING:
To place a classifed advertisement, call 277-7700. The classified fax number
is 331-7361. To receive help with your display advertising needs or to place
an ad from Foster, Johnston or Scituate, call Brian April at 277-7894. To place
an ad from Burrillville, Glocester, North Providence or Smithfield, call Harriet

any Northwest community.
