Community Center/Senior Center open until 8 p.m.; Extended hours at Budlong Pool

Coventry Senior Center, 50 Wood St., open until 10 p.m.; Briar Point Lake open until 8 p.m.

·        Cranston

Cranston Senior Center open until 7 p.m.; Budlong Pool open until dusk.

Senior Center open until 10 p.m.; public library open until 9 p.m.; Elderly housing community room open 24 hours

Johnston Senior Center – Open until 6 p.m. or later, depending upon need. Seniors can call for transportation to the center.

·        Lincoln

Elderly housing in Manville and Londsale open until 10 p.m.; Public library open until 6 p.m., senior center open until 9 p.m.

·        Little Compton

      Public Safety Complex, 60 Simmons Rd., open 24 hours.

·        Middletown

Red Cross office to be open all night, if needed.

·        Narragansett

Public library open until 9 p.m.

·        Newport

Red Cross office to be open all night, if needed.

·        North Kingstown

North Kingstown Senior Center, 10 Beach St. – Open until 10 p.m.; Public library open until 8 p.m.; town beach open until 7 p.m.

Leon Mathieu Senior Center – Open until 6 p.m. during heat wave; public library

·        Providence

Springfield Elementary School, 152 Springfield St., open from 10 a.m. – 10 p.m.; call the Mayor’s Office of Senior Services at 421-2489 for information on senior centers or other community cooling centers. ProCAP is distributing fans to Providence elderly and disabled residents. For information, call 273-2000.

·        Richmond

Chopmist Hill Senior Center, open until 10 p.m.
