Behind the scenes

The National Association for Stock Car Auto Racing (NASCAR) was born in December 1947, and the first race was held on Daytona's beach course in February 1948. Not even its founding father, Bill France Sr., could have envisioned then what NASCAR would become.

While each track has a distinct personality requiring a distinct driving style, what can be seen in and around the tracks could actually be ``any racetrack USA.''

Enjoy the view!
